The West Coast Smoke Exposure Task Force coordinated the development of a series of guidelines and protocols with the help of California, Oregon and Washington land grant university scientists and extension to provide best practices to grape growers and wineries in the event of a wildfire.

The frequently asked questions (FAQs) document contains current recommendations for common smoke and grape scenarios including crop insurance questions. Also included are protocols for sampling wildfire exposed grapes and conducting micro and nanofermentations for risk management.
